The age old tradition is to visit a Hanuman temple and take part in devotional prayers that take place from dawn to dusk. Also, it is important to apply a red tilak on the forehead of his sculpture, along with offering sweets to the idol. After all the rituals are completed, food is distributed among the poor as an act of devotion to Hanuman.
