Inner peace is also known as peace of mind which refers to a state of being spiritually and mentally at peace. Peace of mind, calmness, and serenity are descriptions of a life which is free from the effects of stress. In some cultures, inner peace is considered a state of enlightenment or consciousness can be cultivated by various forms of training, meditation, such as prayer, Tai Chi or Yoga. Finding inner peace in the urban jungle

Scientific research studies show that the Meditation produces a state of peace for both mind and body. Scientists have found that the deep physiological rest gained during meditation practice allows the body to dissolve deep-rooted stress and accumulated fatigue. When the nervous system is less tense, we can react more calmly and effectively to problems that may arise in our daily life. Meditation reduces anxiety, depression and post-traumatic stress.

Tranquillity & peace

Peace and tranquillity is the Nature of Supreme. Peace is like a tranquil calm sea deep in the depths of its realms. One perceives within himself the placid ocean of calmness, spreading into the boundless sea of tranquillity. True inner peace is a stabilized state of calm, clarity and focus that allows one to be more effective and dynamic in all situations. An athlete might call such a scenario as "being in the zone".   Inner peace can be felt by the soul. Inner peace can be felt when your soul is happy but not any of your body parts like heart and mind. The fact is, those materialistic feelings, injuries, happiness does not affect the soul. Real peace, real happiness can only be felt by a soul. In Sreemad Bhagwad Gita Sree Krishna states: The more you talk about me, hear about me; the happier you will be. In other words, inner peace can get if you are internally happy, means if your soul is happy! And your soul will be happy when you will talk about its love, who is the Supreme Lord.

Meditation for peace

The final step to inner peace is learning to quiet the mind. This is best achieved by learning and practicing meditation. It does not matter the type of meditation you choose to learn, it can be yoga, Buddhist meditation, and Christian prayer. All that matters is that you take time every day to learn to slow down and not allow the noise to overwhelm you. The external noise is extreme in today's society, but the internal noise is much worse. Slow down and enjoy the quiet, you will be glad you did.
