The Ekadashi that falls between Holika Dahan and Navratri (Chaitra) is called as Papmochani Ekadashi. It is considered to be the last Ekadashi of the year. Papmochani Ekadashi is observed during Krishna Paksha, Chaitra month in the northern part of India while it is celebrated on the Krishna Paksha of Phalguna month in Southern India. This year, it shall fall on the day of March or April. The act of opening the fast on this day, also known as Parana is performed after sunrise on the next day fast. One should follow the right time to oen fast. Hence open fast in Dwadashi Tithi before sunrise.

The first quarter of Dwadashi tithi is called as Hari Vasara. One should not oepn his fast before Hari Vasara.Hence the most favorable time for opening fast is morning or Pratahkal. Team AskGanesha wishes you all a Very Happy Papmochani Ekadashi.
