Mathura has its own mythological significance and is considered the abode of Lord Krishna. It is not an ordinary city and is mainly eternally connected with Lord Krishna who is an incarnation of Lord Vishnu. Along with Mathura, there is a district named Vrindavan which is the transcendental place and the devotees who visit this place become purified of all the evils. The heritage of Mathura is 5000 years old when Lord Krishna incarnated on this earth to kill the evil and preach the immortal words of Bhagavad Gita.

Krishna Janma Bhoomi- It is one of the most popular temples in Mathura. It is believed that this is the place where Krishna was born to Vasudev and Devaki. The temple has a prison cell which is situated in the premise of the temple and known as grabha griha believed to be the place where Kanha was exactly born.
Dwarkadeesh Mathura- It was constructed in 1814 and the temple is most visited the temples of the Mathura city. It is dedicated to Lord Krishna and the temple helps in astonishing architecture and details in the paintings and carvings. The idol of Lord Krishna is shown in the form of King of Dwarka. This temple is very famous for the grandeur and celebration of some major festivals such as Krishna Janmashtami and Holi.

Kesava Deo is the other name of Lord Krishna and is the prime deity of this temple. The historians have collected the facts during the reign of Aurangzeb, this temple was demolished and a mosque was built in its replacement which was named as Jama Masjid. The temple was later constructed back by King of Benaras which was during the British era. Govind Dev temple was built in 1590 by a Rajput king named Raja Mann Sigh. This temple is one of the most well-known temples in the holy city of Mathura. The architecture is made of red stone the temple continues to astonish all its visitors. Its fine craftsmanship is a unique landmark of the city. Kusum Sarovar temple is not exactly a temple but a pond which is somewhere around 450ft long and 60ft in depth. It is very much located close to Radha Kunj and it is believed that Radha and Krishna used to meet at this place. This pond offers some very beautiful scenic views which have a sense of calmness in the environment. An Aarti is performed every day in the evening which further adds up to the charm of the place.
