Navratri Day 4: Kushmanda Puja


The Goddess Kushmanda has eight handshence she is known as or worshipped by the name of Ashtabhuja Devi. Her Jap Mala has enormous power to accord sidhis and Nidhis.

She is considered to be the creator of this universe or ब्रह्माण्ड. It is also believed that her smile made this universe in a small fraction of time. She also likes Bali of white pumpkin known as Kushmanda. Hence the two features of creation of universe and Kushmanda gave her the name.

Goddess Parvati lived in sun after the siddhatri. She gives energy to the universe. Since then Goddess is known as Kushmanda. Kushmanda is the only Goddess who can live in sun and has the ability to power the universe simultaneously.
